Changes are coming
on June 21st, 2011 at 2:00 pmNow that Alice: Madness Returns has been released into the wild, we’re looking at making some changes around here to reflect our success and our new directions.
First, the main site here and the forum will be getting a bit of a facelift. Hopefully, that will fix our little problem whenever we try to share HD videos with you.
Second, we have an awesome project cooking that will provide excellent support to those pursuing the Alice mythology in all of its forms. (We’re keeping the details under wraps for the time being, planning for a “big unveiling”.)
Third, along with this redesign will come more pages that feature our friends around the world – merchandisers and retailers that help to keep the Alice story alive.
And finally, know that we’re continuing to support her story for as long as there are fans to love it. We’ll keep you up to date on the latest along with our new materials (to be announced soon-ish), and there will still be contests and puzzles and activities galore to entertain and amaze.
We’ll also continue posting user reviews and guest blogs, and if you have something you’d like to contribute to either of those topics, don’t hesitate to email me. (Guest blogs address the more subjective Alice experience.)
Hang on to your hats, my lovelies. The game may be out, but the ride is not over.

As long as Alice lives on, you will always have me as a follower.
Hopefully we will see expansions or DLCs for Madness Returns. I really wish to see the stuff which was cut out due time restrictions. Like the bosses. Or the chase sequenses and the swimming in the E3 trailer.
Great news! Not gonna lie, publishers really screw up the dreamworks of developers sometimes. I don’t know much but the managers interfere with your work for the sake of “appeal to the masses” and “finishing the product as soon as possible”. Calling games that have a soul a “product” is already blasphemy to me, imagine an artist calling his painting or song a product. But unfortunately that’s the direction we’re heading since gaming has become more of a business than ever before.
It’s obvious how much you had to cut out of this wonderful game, how many plotholes there are (fortunately this “flaw” fits into the game since Alice’s mind is shattered) and how many incredible elements are missing that were flying through the developers heads.
I hope you can fill all these gaps with an addon or even better – a sequel, to do Alice justice.
Cheers and thanks for rapturing me into Wonderland,
Matthew
Also, I bet EA forced you to listen to this on repeat:
A good worker is a live worker!
A bad worker is a dead worker !
And vice versa !
Live to work !
Substantial rewards in heaven !
It is better to pay with labor that to receive pain for it !
Words to live by !
You can eat them too ! Hu hu hu!
Payday for good workers has been postponed indefinitely !
Payday for bad workers has been cancelled !Hu hu hu !
I love the game, but I’m having a problem with it now. When I try to play the game it freezes my PS3 every time. I can play all my other PS3 games so it’s not my PS3. Can someone look into this, so I can continue to play this game?
I would recommend contacting EA’s support group.
I hope it’s a director’s cut version of A:MR (which contains all the deleted/removed material that didn’t make in the final version and also new domains like the Moon and such) or something even better….
We’ll see…
I love you for this, more than you will ever know. ♥
@Eulogy
I bet that is actually a subtle reference of what the developers actually felt like while working with EA and they happen to put their feelings into the game…very clever.
It’s absurd to think that EA would rush this out the door when it was meant to be McGee’s parting gift to his fans.
I will support everything that will turn Madness Returns into the game he wanted it to be.
Please, don’t lose our respect by churning out pathetic DLC cash grabs.
[WORDPRESS HASHCASH] The poster sent us ’0 which is not a hashcash value.
Alice is always be part of my childhood ever since 2000 until the last breath of my life Alice became part of my life and I’m so excited for the changes will happen in this site.
Lilith70 i hope you wont entirely focussed on casual online gaming with popcap i would love to see more of alice on my xbox360 the game is screaming out for DLC. I am loving the game so far and dont want it to end but i know it will and i am hungry for news that what i have is not the end???
Of course, we will let you know as soon as we have solid information. We’re still listening. <3

<3
Hypothetically speaking, if there was going to be an addition (deleted content, please!) to extend the ride of AMR, would this be something that we would have to pay extra for, or would it act as a free patch-type-thing?
I am not asking for solid details, I just want a serious guess.
I wish I could personally thank everyone who worked to bring AMR to fruition. The hard work, visualization and eventual creation had to have been a long time grueling process beyond what most people will realize just from simply sitting the start button. I have been a fan since the day I picked Alice up off of the shelf in the store back in 2000, and thought to myself, “this looks interesting, finally something different”! Since then, I have played the original every year, at least twice a year and listened to the soundtrack countless times in between.
So here’s to anyone involved, thank you!
P.S.- Now that the deadline has been met, I would gladly buy the game a second time as the developer’s cut version with all content in it as it was originally intended.
