I`m really not the person to  judge things so early, nor get excited over everything I see, but just looking at the screens, concept art or the trailer I can`t help but think that we`re already golden.  The cardguards, the landscape - everything - just stunning. And I don`t even mean the high quality or the smoothness - I really don`t care for these much, but the colors, the designs  - jawdropping. Just keeping my fingers crossed they keep it up. As for the gameplay system - don`t know but even if the gameplay still was as simple as  in the first installment I`d still be happy just to get my fix.

I hope they improved the gameplay a bit though. The style and mood are amazing, and from these screenshots I think it'll be even nicer than the first one. The fighting was simplistic but fine.
It's the jumping falling which became quite a hassle! Especially if you fell over and over and accidentally rammed quick-save instead of quick-load.  Rolled eyes Sure, a "watch Alice plummel to her death" button was fun for the time be, but if you were set on finishing a level it became quite a hassle.

Yes, the platforming was a bit frustrating in the original.  That was probably more dure to the tech then so im sure it will be much better now.  I am curious to see the new fighting system.  Will we still be able to throw the Vorpal Blade? Do toys still have two attacks? Will Alice have any sort of dodge moves? Will we still have to collect Meta-Essence? Will we still have a will meter? What will the new toys be? Can i have Alice's Boots? So many questions that i can not wait to have answered.

Will Alice have any sort of dodge moves?

I so hope she doesn't. There's no way a fighting system with combos or dodge moves would fit with Alice's character or the setting. She's a girl/ woman and no professional fighter.

im not hoping for anything major, but some sort of avoidance move or a block move would be good. The original was tedious because it was so hard to not get hit. Even if it is simple her blocking a ht with the knife (like the originals trailer) i would be happy, as long as its not run-up-slash-run-away-they-slash-run-up-slash.

Yup, an improvisational blocking move would be great...

BUT

how would it work with some of the other toys? Take the Jack in the box for instance. Blocking with an explosive is no good idea I guess woo!

Implying girls/women can't be professional fighters?

Definitely not...I hate sexists.

What I tried to say was, that Alice, herself is not a professional fighter, or is she? If so I must've missed some pages in the books or some sequences in the game, because you never get to see her getting to her taijutsu trianing.
Therefore it would make absolutely no sense if she now, all the sudden, begins to dodge an attack perfectly or showed us some pro sword fighting skills.

Hope my arguement is clear now .___.

Fair enough, although in that case why mention she was a woman at all?

And remember this is all inside Alice's head, so it would kind of make sense if she could do all sorts of crazy fighting moves considering it's all dreams anyway.

She's obviously got some talent with the Vorpal Blade, but I think that's more Wonderland than Alice actually knowing how to do that stuff by herself.

I started a fan fic that never went anywhere, but in the fic(you know how there's multiples of some weapons in case you missed them in the 1st game?) the more times you picked up a certain weapon, the more skill you had with it.

Not to say this is the case in either of these games,  but McGee said Wonderland is Alice's super power, so maybe she get' SOME skill while there. I mean, I would be disturbed if Alice was suddenly a Matrix quality fighter, but yeah...

Idk, none of that made sense probably.

That's kind of what I meant. Wonderland is inside Alice's head, so when she's there there's really no logical limit to what she can do.

Certain images are now stuck in my head...

And even though I get your point "Wonderland is Alice's imagination" - we all know she can't control it properly, don't we? Otherwise it wouldn't be so severly out of control in my opinion.

So purposely controling several parameters there would make no sense.

I think she's got a certain level of control, weather sub-consiously or not. After her tragedy, Alice went coocoo for coco puffs, so so did wonderland. When she killed the queen, she got better (but apparently not) so wonderland got better.

So, while she cant be like "I want it to rain" and it starts raining, that doesn't mean she doesn't have an influence on Wonderland.

Her state of mind and emotions are mirrored in wonderland, no doubt.

But that shouldn't influence her fighting skills.
