Wallghost asked this:
In the beta trailer, it shows a bloody house Alice is in. It appears to be Houndsditch Home.
Many members on the forum theorized that it could have been a playable-ending, or that the original idea for Alice 2 was that she would wake up from Wonderland multiple times (like in the final version of Alice2) in the scenes of murders that she would constantly be getting blamed for, or murders that she has commited (like Alice pushing Pris off the roof). What was your original intention for that scene? Was in indeed the original ending? I think it would have appeared after the asylum level.
American replies:
“That was meant to be Pris’ house and was originally planned as the start point for the entire game. The blood you see everywhere belongs to Pris. And yes, Alice was meant to black out then find herself surrounded by the horror you see in that video snip. There was an idea early on that Alice would find herself constantly on the run from the police and that wherever she went in the real world death and murder would follow. We ditched the overall idea for a number of reasons – mainly because it didn’t feel natural to have Alice jumping, swinging and fighting through the streets of London. We actually DID have her doing those things for a while – she could ledge walk and hang, climb and jump though London. There was also an issue of scope and time – it was enough to create all the action elements you see for Wonderland – we barely had time for that. To have added London in as well; we simply did not have enough time or a big enough budget.”
