But… Due to complications caused by data collection and manual fulfillment we need to select one version or the other – swirls or no swirls.

Tiers vs. Pledges

A bit of confusion caused by the way we’ve set up the White Rabbit Collector Set Tier vs. Pledge… 

First off, the reason we didn’t create a new Tier at $45 for this promotion is that doing so would have screwed up the data collection for people who have been at $35 and working towards 3-months of pledges. 

To be clear: To get the White Rabbit Plush Collector Set you need to: 

1) Set your PLEDGE to $45 (or more) before Midnight on January 31st, 2019

2) Set your TIER to a level within your Pledge amount 

For example, you set your PLEDGE to $45; set your TIER to $35, $15, $5, etc…

Or, you set your PLEDGE to $75 and your TIER to $75. 

The reason it’s important to set a Tier: It insures that we capture your mailing address. And it unlocks the benefits of the Tiers. Discord Access is linked to your Tier (unlocks at $5) – so if you have a Pledge to $45 but no Tier selected… you won’t have Discord Access and we might not capture your mailing address. 

Hope that all makes sense. Sorry if this seems complicated… Patreon isn’t the best when it comes to physical reward functionality. Plus, we apparently suck at trying to explain how this works! <cry>

Livestream on A Weird Day

This week’s livestream will be on Wednesday, January 30th, at 10AM (Hong Kong Time). We usually do these on Thursday but due to holiday schedules and travel plans it’ll be a day early this week.

Alex shared a logo for “Wonderlair” – a concept in which we would combine our new game development studio with a themed location our fans could visit. I posted about this idea on my Facebook Page and saw a lot of interesting feedback from my followers there. 

What I said was… 

 One idea I have for the new development studio in Thailand is that we’d also make it a vacation destination for Alice fans. Imagine a location where you can take the most amazing cosplay photos, explore The Cheshire’s Forest, or interact with an animatronic Mad Hatter. Spend a few nights in the Queen’s Castle? Just don’t lose your head! 

We’ll discuss some of the responses to this idea during the livestream this week. Join in the discussion…

Art Print for January

Joey sends along the image (above) which is what we’ll make the art print for January. She actually sent two versions of it – one with “magic” and one without… 

I prefer the image WITH magic but let us know in the comments below which one you prefer for the January art print. 

Remember that if January is your first month at $75 you can collect an impressive pile of stuff: The White Rabbit Collector Set, this Art Print, and a Chaos Necklace. Wow.

Art Print Update + Chaos Necklace + Art Selection

Please Note: Art prints from LAST MONTH are still being sent out. There was a pretty big delay in shipments due to my traveling for the holiday + holiday shipping slowdowns. There are about 300+ art prints still needing to be done for December. Martin and I are tackling those today and tomorrow. So… please be patient in asking for updates on this topic. 

If you choose a Tier which includes a SELECTION (necklace size or art print) – then you will receive a survey email next month where you make that selection. DO NOT send your selection to us via PM or email. It doesn’t work like that! 😛

YAY! 3222 Patrons! We hit our Goal! Reward Unlocked!

A HUGE thanks to everyone who’s joined us and is supporting our journey towards Alice’s next big adventure.

It literally couldn’t be done without you.  

Before getting into the ‘what you do next’ information, it’s worth pointing out that if you’re going to be pledging $45 for the plush goal, you might consider also setting yourself to the $35 tier if you want to aim for doing 3x$35 and getting an art print in April. This rabbit pledge month WILL count towards that.

If you’re feeling Really Insane you might also consider pledging at $75 so that you get (if it’s your first month there) an Art Print, Chaos Necklace, and the Rabbit Plush Collector Set. 

So, think about those options as you go through the following instructions…

What to do next?

This information applies to people who are on the tiers $35 and below, and who are on a computer.  
Those patrons at $75 and above are automatically eligible for the Collector Set.  

1) Click THIS LINK  to update your info.

2) At the top left of the page you will see a section called “Choose what you pay”.
Change this to $45.
Doing this means that no matter whether you are on the $1, $2, $5, $10, $15 or $35 tiers, you will pay $45 on the next charge date and you will get the plush.  

3) Also when you’re editing your pledge, make sure you have an address linked to your account. You should be able to do this a little further down the page. Please take the time to double check your address details are accurate.  

4) Be sure to hit the big orange UPDATE button over on the right of the screen when you’re done with steps 2 and 3. It looks like this….

5) Now wait until February 18th, this will allow us time to collect everyone’s information before you make changes. Also be sure to check your account info and make sure you have been charged. Some people’s banks charge late in the month.

6) Once you’re sure you’ve been charged $45, and we’re past February 18th, you can  go back into THIS account editing section and set the pledge amount back to whatever you like. For instance, $35 if you are considering aiming for the 3x$35 art print as mentioned at the beginning of this post.

Let’s dispel a common misconception we have around these goals:
That the goal rewards are only for people who joined before we hit the goal.  
THIS IS NOT CORRECT.  
Once the goal is met, (which it has been), everyone who joins before midnight on Jan 31st (in your time zone) is also eligible for the rewards.

Dear Insane Children, 

Based on feedback from Insane Children around the world we’ve adjusted the ears, loosened the fit, and made the overall appearance more in line with something we’d expect 13-year-old Alice to wear during the Denial Stage of Alice: Asylum. 

While in Denial we want to communicate a sense of childlike wonder, innocence, and fear. At this point in the story, Alice will not yet be able to fight. So she must resort to sneaking, hiding, and overcoming obstacles using her wits. Later in the game, we might see her continue to use the Rabbit Onesie in sections where stealth is required. 

That means this particular outfit (or some variation on it) will be available from the start of the game to everyone who plays. For those who acquire the White Rabbit Plush doll (through Patreon or later purchase at Mysterious) we’ll provide Early Access to a different and unique White Rabbit Dress DLC. For those who aren’t interested in the White Rabbit Plush collector item, the Dress DLC will unlock at a later date. 

Please keep in mind that all of Alice’s outfits and dresses are *Work In Progress*. And that everything we’re developing is geared towards a narrative in which Alice is younger than in the first two games. The new game will heavily emphasize the “horror” in “psychological horror” but for the sake of contrast, there are also lighter, more childlike elements.
